about

A Dedication to our dear friend Roll'e.

Roll'e was a local legend, his early passing late last year came as a shock to all who knew and loved him. Myself and Metro where lucky enough to have linked up with him, way back when, in the late 80's, beginning of the 90's, the Rave days. I was lucky enough to DJ with him a few times back then, Metro would MC and as he reminded me the other day, Roll'e was a master of the long mix, in fact he was a master of the mix, full stop. He had a fantastic sense about music and a killer collection of records, many a tune became "a Roll'e tune". He was quick witted to a fault, influential to many and a dear friend to all that he met. He used to play on the local pirate radio station in and around Luton, Pressure FM, and DJ many a party or two. He was a dedicated cocktail maker and he loved to travel and keep on broadening his horizons.
Metro became the custodian of his records and as we sat in the studio one day, listening through the early house, techno and hardcore bangers, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to create something to honour him. It was something he always talked about doing with Metro so it is exactly what we did. This collection of 10 tracks are all honed from his records and samples from them.

He will be massively missed, but through this work we hope to keep his essence very much alive.

Peace Brother........
